Severe Weather Knocks Out Power to Thousands in Massachusetts and Rhode Island
Do not call 9-1-1 to report your power outage or to ask for information, use 9-1-1 only for emergencies.

Thunderstorms rolled through southern Massachusetts and Rhode Isalnd on Tuesday morning. Approximately 150,000 were left without power at one point, according to National Grid, and many are still without electricity. The majority of the outages were in Southern New England.

WHDH tweeted the latest outages just before 9:30 a.m.:
- MA - 32,172
- RI - 121,427
National Grid reported approximately 120,000 power outages in Rhode Island, and almost 15,000 outages on Tuesday morning in Bristol, Middlesex and Plymouth counties. Eversource is alos reporting outages in Massachusetts.
