The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce has launched our annual SHOP LOCAL on-line auction now through May 31st. The event, which is sponsored by Eastern Bank, offers a wide range of items including travel packages, Red Sox tickets, autographed sports memorabilia, plus gift certificates to local restaurants, retailers, and family attractions throughout New England. Additional items will continue to be added throughout the month of May.
“When you shop with local merchants, more of your money stays close to home; supporting education, recreation centers, libraries and other things that make this community a great place to live,” commented Deanne Healey, President & CEO of the Peabody Area Chamber.
Case in point, the Chamber will donate a portion of the proceeds of the annual auction to the Peabody Education Foundation. The community is invited to participate in the online auction – a complete catalog can be viewed by visiting www.peabodychamber.com and clicking on the Auction link.
