Shoplifting Arrests and Man Charged With Illegal Possession of a Knife
The following information was provided by the Danvers Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from May 2-4.
Thursday, May 2
- 9:56 p.m. Report of a disabled tractor-trailer on Route 114.
Friday, May 3
- 3:26 p.m. Starmeka Kelly, 29, of 10 Prince St., Salem, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifting at Walmart. Kelly was charged with one count of shoplifting.
- 4:12 p.m. Report of a stolen guitar from a home on Lummus Avenue.
- 7:28 p.m. Report of a female shoplifter at Walmart. No further details were available.
Saturday, May 4
- 7:11 a.m. A caller reported there was a dead raccoon at the corner of Adams and Sylvan streets. The Animal Control Officer was notified to respond to the scene.
- 8:17 a.m. A caller reported a large animal (possibly a dog) was hit on I-95 South. Police checked the area, but couldn't find anything.
- 8:23 a.m. Police made a traffic stop on Maple Street at Route 1 and issued a court summons, according to a log entry, but no further details were available.
- 11:57 a.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident on Route 114 near Lowe's. One patient was transported to the hospital, complaining of neck pain. No further details were available.
- 2:28 p.m. Police made a traffic stop at the corner of Armory Road and Centre Street and issued a court summons, according to a log entry, but no further details were available.
- 2:55 p.m. A caller reported there was an injured turkey on Hyde Street.
- 3:56 p.m. Mark DiPaolo, 21, of 29 Homestead Rd., Lynnfield, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifting at Walmart. Police said headsets, earbuds and candy totaling more than $250 in value were stolen. DiPaolo was charged with larceny over $250.
- 7:05 p.m. Kenneth Locke, 47, of 240 Andover St., Georgetown, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 114. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and illegal possession of a knife. Police said that while officers conducted an inventory of Locke's belongings, a knife with an eight-inch blade was discovered.
- 10:48 p.m. Police arrested a Peabody male and female, following a report of a shoplifter at Target. Arthur Kanellos, 29, of 61 County St., Peabody, was charged with larceny over $250 and attaching plates, while Wendy Boulay, 40, of the same address, was charged on two warrants out of Salem District Court.
