Shot Fired In Late-Night Danvers Street Fight

No one was shot but four people were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries from the brawl.

DANVERS, MA -- Danvers Police arrested two men and transported four people to area hospitals after a fight in the area of 11 Congress Avenue around 11:30 pm Sunday night. According to police, Brian Mishel, 41 of Lynn, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Timothy Goolsby, 60 of Danvers, was charged with armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a firearm in a felony, discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a building, possession of ammunition without an FID card and malicious or wanton property vandalism.

Police responded to a call of several people fighting in the street at 11:29 pm Sunday. During the melee, a single shot was fired and hit a car driven by one of the people involved in the fight. Police said both Goolsby and Mishel were set to be arraigned in Salem District Court.
