Stabbing At Roadway Inn: Danvers Police

Early Thursday morning there was a stabbing during an armed robbery at a Danvers Inn, police announced.

DANVERS, MA — A man was stabbed Thursday morning during an armed robbery at an Danvers Inn, police announced Thursday night.

At 6:30 a.m. someone called Danvers Police about a disturbance a the Rodeway Inn at 102 Newbury St. When police arrived they found a man who said he had been stabbed during an armed robbery. The man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was later released, police said in a statement.

The man police suspect stabbed him and the person who was stabbed knew each other, according to police.

"There is no ongoing threat to public safety. This is an active investigation and no further details will be released at this time," said police.
