State Fire Marshal's Office Investigating a Fatal Car Fire

State Fire Marshal’s officials are investigating an early morning fatal car fire today in a hotel parking lot on Ferncroft Road, Danvers, according to Jennifer Mieth, Public Information Officer, Department of Fire Services.

One man was pulled from the car and was flown in a medical helicopter to a Boston hospital with burns, and he has died, according to fire officials.

The investigation is ongoing with the Essex District Attorney’s office, local officials and state police assigned to the state Fire Marshal’s office.

It appears that no other vehicles were involved.
