State Police Arrest Two Men For Drug Trafficking
Massachusetts State Police confiscated over 200 grams of heroin and over 18 grams of cocaine, and seized $12,000 in cash from the room.

A Peabody man and a Lynn man are scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in Salem District Court on drug trafficking charges.
Massachusetts State Police arrested the two men at approximately 6 Friday morning in a room at the Motel 6 on Newbury Street in Danvers for trafficking in heroin and cocaine. Trooper Zachary Bolcome determined that there was an active arrest warrant for Gabriel Calderon, 25, of Lynn, who was staying in a room at the motel. Trooper Bolcome and Trooper Brendan Carnes made contact with Calderon and his roommate, Geronimo Espinol, 36, of Peabody, who also had an outstanding arrest warrant. Both men were placed under arrest.
In the process of the arrests, the troopers discovered illegal drugs and paraphernalia associated with drug distribution in the room. A subsequent search warrant executed at that location lead to the discovery of numerous illegal drugs, including what is believed to be over 200 grams of heroin and over 18 grams of cocaine. Troopers also seized $12,000 in cash from the room.

Calderon and Espinola were both transported to the State Police barracks in Danvers and booked on the following offenses, according to state police:
- Trafficking heroin.
- Trafficking cocaine.
- Possession of cocaine.
- Possession of a Class C drug with intent to distribute.
- Possession of a Class E drug with Intent to distribute.
- Conspiracy to violate the controlled substance laws.
- Conspiracy.
Both men were taken to the Essex County House of Correction where they were held on $500,000 cash bail, according to state police.
