State Police 'Faith & Blue' Danvers Unity Event Monday

The public is invited to join State police, faith-based organizations and community members at the Troop A headquarters in Danvers.

DANVERS, MA — North Shore residents are invited to join members of the Massachusetts State Police, faith-based organizations and community members for a law enforcement unity event on the Monday holiday.

The event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Troop A Headquarters on Maple Street in Danvers.

The goal of the events is "to build bridges and break biases."

Faith & Blue is a national initiative that was forced to facilitate "safer, stronger, more unified communities by enhancing partnerships among law enforcement professionals, residents, businesses and community groups through the connections of local faith-based organizations."

"Communities are stronger and safer when residents and law enforcement professionals can relate as ordinary people with shared values, hopes and dreams," said the Faith & Blue initiative website. "The partners who are a part of National Faith & Blue Weekend believe we can find ways to work together around our many commonalities instead of being divided by our differences."
