Suspect Flees Into Woods After Attacking Mall Security Guard

The following information was provided by the Danvers Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from April 14-16.

Sunday, April 14

  • 6:51 p.m. A female was issued a court summons, following a report of a shoplifting at Walmart.
  • 7:30 p.m. A security guard was assaulted at the Liberty Tree Mall and the suspect then reportedly bolted off into the woods. Police said they searched the woods behind the mall near the Verizon facility, but were unable to find the suspect, who was described as wearing a gray shirt, blue sweatpants and white shoes.

Monday, April 15

  • 11:20 a.m. Police received a call for medical aid at an Endicott Street residence, which reportedly involved a hand laceration and an assault. No further details were available.
  • 1:28 p.m. Report of fraud at Stop & Shop on Route 1. Police said there was a $500 gift check involved.
  • 5:21 p.m. Report of some syringes near the playground at the John George Park.

Tuesday, April 16

  • 6:53 a.m. Report of a car break-in on Princeton Street. A rear window was smashed. No further details were available.
  • 9:11 a.m. Boston MedFlight landed at the Greak Oak School to transport a patient involved in a car accident in Middleton.
  • 1:15 p.m. Report of a larceny at the Dunkin' Donuts at 79 Andover St. A cell phone was stolen.
  • 2:28 p.m. Annmarie Fischer, 26, of 11 Savoy Rd., South Hamilton, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifting at Walmart. She was charged on one count of shoplifting.
  • 5:12 p.m. Roland Harvey, 61, of 42 Preston St., Danvers, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifting at Walmart. He was charged with two counts of shoplifting.
  • 6:59 p.m. Report of identity fraud at the Extended Stay Hotel.
