Danvers Talbot 5K To Aid Families Battling Cancer, DHS Scholarships

The Talbot Memorial Fund will provide financial support to local families battling cancer and scholarships to Danvers High School students

Danvers, MA - The Talbot Memorial Walk/Run will take place this year on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 10am at Great Oak School.

“In 2011, our community rallied together for the first Lynda J. Talbot Memorial 5K Walk/Run to honor the life of our mom Lynda J. Talbot after her courageous battle with breast cancer,” said Stacy (Talbot) Bazylinski. “Last year we lost our dad, Bruce, after his incredibly courageous fight against lung cancer. To honor their memory and contribute to the ongoing fight against cancer, we have established this memorial 5k.”

The Lynda J. Talbot Memorial Fund has helped over 80 local individuals and families battling cancer, scholarships have been given out to more than 50 deserving Danvers High School seniors in Lynda's memory and donations have been made to cancer research organizations.
