Theft of Printer Ink Ends in Arrest

The following is an excerpt from the Danvers Police log:

Wednesday, Jan. 23

• A report was written after a summons was served at 16 River St. at 5:34 p.m.
• A domestic dispute about kids was reported at Carpet Liquidators on Route 1 at 5:35 p.m.
• A man who does not live in Danvers reported at 6:17 p.m. that he was getting harassing phone calls at work in Danvers.
• Police assisted while a vehicle was repossessed at the Hogan Regional Center on Maple Street at 11:23 p.m.
• Somebody was spoken to at an apartment at 62 Purchase St. at 11:37 p.m. after an abandoned 911 call.

Thursday, Jan. 24

• Loud music was disturbing the peace at the same Purchase Street address that was the source of an abandoned 911 call earlier in the evening.
• A report of a suspicious vehicle at the Essex Agricultural School administration building was unfounded at 2:09 a.m.
• A disabled vehicle was towed from Route 1 at 5:55 a.m.
• A break-in to a vehicle was reported at Englert Inc. on Garden Street at 7:21 a.m. Police said that $600 worth of pipes, elbows and caps were taken from an unlocked company truck.
• Fraud was reported at 8 Warren St. at 8:11 a.m. where somebody reported that they heard from their credit card company and was told that somebody had tried to open a credit card in their name but was unsuccessful.
• Two teenagers rang the doorbell and were banging on the window and then ran away from 49 Liberty St. at 8:39 a.m. A report was filed.
• Somebody was dead after a medical call for an unresponsive person at 10:39 a.m. at 36 Cornell Road.
• A man was arrested after a case of shoplifting was reported at Walmart at 2:46 p.m. Joseph Vincent, 23, of 30 Cooper St. in Lynn was charged with shoplifting and was also arrested on a warrant out of Salem District Court for motor vehicle charges. Vincent allegedly stole printer ink and iPod accessories.
• A suspicious vehicle was reported outside North Shore Bank on Elm Street at 4 p.m. The driver of the vehicle was later arrested by State Police in Lynnfield on unrelated charges.
