• The first Danvers Water Sports Carnival was held and included activities such as swimming races and Life Saving demonstrations by the fire department.
• The 'Talk of the Town' was a Red Tag Sale happening at Charles S. Brown's men's clothing store.
• Women's cotton sportswear was popular and polls showed the most popular color of 1932 was red.
• The Danvers baseball team defeated Clinton 6-4 in front of a crowd of 1500.
• 130 men worked on a $4,000 water department replacement project. This project was credited in helping the town's unemployed.
