• Department of Public Works Street Division Operator

This is skilled work in the operation of automotive equipment and /or moderately complex highway construction maintenance equipment requiring a hydraulic license and the ability to perform a wide variety of manual laboring work. Full time position, requires two - three years of public works experience, to include operation of gas and diesel hydraulic automotive equipment. A High School or Trade School diploma, CDL and Hydraulic Licenses. A requirement to complete OSHA Confined Space Safety Course (or equal) and Competent Person Training within six months. The Town of Danvers currently has an opening in the Department of Public Works for a Middle School Custodian. This is routine manual work in housekeeping and minor maintenance tasks in a public building under relatively close supervision.Some knowledge of minor maintenance requirements of buildings and grounds.Sufficient physical strength and agility to do manual custodial work. Duties may involve exertion of moderate to heavy physical effort for extended periods of time in positioning, lifting or moving bulky equipment or materials.
