Town Offers Winter Parking Ban Reminder
Don't let the warm weather make you complacent.

DANVERS, MA - It’s the beginning of February, and the temperatures are downright springlike, but that doesn’t mean we will automatically escape the winter unscathed by heavy snow.
Town officials are reminding residents that they should still be paying attention to the town’s winter parking ban regulations in case the big one hits later this season.
The DPW Director can declare a parking ban on all streets and roadways from 1:00 am to 6:00 am to provide easy access for snow removal equipment. Not later than 6:00 pm a notice of the ban will be sent to residents via a telephone call to the land line listed with our local phone providers. If you choose to have text messages, email or cell phone messages instead, or in addition to a land line, select that option when you sign up at our Broadview icon on the town’s home page.

When a major storm is forecast, the Town Manager will issue a parking ban no later than six hours before the ban goes into effect. It will stay in effect until a second message is sent lifting the ban. We expect more efficient, faster and less costly snow removal when there are no cars on the streets.
An east bound sign on Rte. 62 at Spring and Maple and a west bound sign at Conant and Poplar will notify drivers of both types of parking bans.
