Don’t miss this special exhibition of contemporary quilts created for the Peabody Historical Society’s annual miniature quilt challenge! Quilters from across Massachusetts who participated in this challenge chose one quilt from a selection of three antique quilts in the Society’s collection to use as inspiration for their work. All entries and challenge quilts will be on view in the Carriage Room of the Smith Barn. Visitors will have the opportunity to cast votes for their favorite quilts, and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entries.

This event will also feature an exhibit of antique and reproduction Log Cabin, Cross (also known as Old Italian), and Basket quilts from the private collections of quilt historians Stephanie Hatch and Susan Stowe. These quilts, the styles of which are in keeping with this year’s challenge quilt selections, will be artfully arranged throughout the Nathaniel Felton Sr. House.

Voting will end on Sunday, April 12, at 2:30 pm, and winners will be announced at 2:45 pm. For more information about this event, contact the Society at 978-531-0805 or info@peabodyhistorical.org.
