What Children Need to Learn Today
Two educators from Milton Academy and Cohen Hillel Academy to Discuss The Changing Landscape of Education

The acquisition of information is only a small part of effective education in today’s complex world. Incoming Head of Cohen Hillel Academy Amy Gold and Milton Academy Principal of grades K-8 Marshall Carter will discuss “Your Child’s Education: Opening the Doors to Success” on Tuesday, April 14 at CHA in Marblehead. The event is free and open to the public.
In an interview format, Gold and Carter will outline the many skills children need in order to function successfully today and in the future, including knowing how to ask compelling and complex questions; to solve problems both independently and collaboratively; to view challenges with an interdisciplinary lens; to undertake their learning with a growth mindset; and to develop leadership skills grounded in respect, empathy, and kindness.
The two speakers each has more than 20 years of experience in education as teachers and administrators developing and overseeing curricula in elementary and middle schools.
