Man Arraigned on Two Counts of Assault to Murder, Two Tenn. Victims Expected to Survive
WI man arraigned on Thursday in Salem District Court in connection with double-shooting at Knights Inn

Jonathan Alequin, 27, of LaCrosse, Wi., was arraigned today in Salem District Court on two counts of assault with intent to murder, carrying a firearm without a license and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, in connection with a shooting at the Knights Inn, 225 Newbury St. in Danvers early this morning, according to authorities.
The shootings took place around 11 Wednesday night. An area SWAT team was dispatched to the motel, according to police.
Judge Michael Lauranzano ordered Alequin held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Friday, Sept. 19.

Alequin allegedly shot two men that he had met earlier in the evening who were also staying at the hotel. Both victims, 35-years-old and 49-years-old, were from Tennessee.
The men suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities. Police did not release their names.
