Work Underway To Fix Dangerous Danvers Intersection
Drivers can expect some detours and delays as they travel on Route 62 while the $1.3 million project is completed.

DANVERS, MA -- The town has started work on a $1.3 million project that will add a traffic light and a left turn lane on Route 62. The work at the intersection of Maple and Summer Streets is expected to last through the end of the year and will be conducted between 7 am and 4 pm on weekdays.
The town is trying to minimize road closures, but some detours have been planned. The first such detour will be on Tuesday, when work will force a one-way detour between 9 am and 5 pm. That detour, which affects eastbound traffic, is expected to last through the start of next week.
