Young Children Find Fun at the Wenham Museum

M is for Museum introduces young children to the world of museums in a fun interactive way.


On the second Friday of each month the Wenham Museum educators plan a fun and engaging program geared for children ages 3 and up.   These programs are included with admission.  To reserve your spot, call the museum at 978-468-2377.  

Valentine's Day Celebration - Friday February 14 at 10:30 am
Using the museum's antique valentines for inspiration, create valentine cares for the special people in your life.

Illustrators Show - Draw Me a Story - Friday March 14 at 10:30 am
Together we will look at the original children' book illustrations in the Draw Me a Story: Alphabet and Animal exhibit, talk about them and then draw a picture book to take home. 

The Wenham Museum has much more to offer for young visitors and their families.  

Winter Olympic Adventure - January 15 through March 30
Come to the Family Discovery Gallery to learn about Olympic traditions, maps and flags.  Play winter sports and design your own mascot.

A Spoonful of Sugar - February 7 through May 11
Discover the magical world of Mary Poppins as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Disney family film.  Climb on Admiral Boom' house-ship, make your own chalk drawings like Mary's friend Bert, and see how much fun it can be to do chore if you jut add a spoonful of sugar.  

 The Wenham Museum is located at 132 Main Street in Wenham, MA.  
Hours are from 10am to 4pm Tuesday through Sunday.  
Admission: $6 children, $8 adults, always free for members.
