DEDHAM, MA — An electric vehicle manufacturer will celebrate the opening of its newest Massachusetts location this weekend at Legacy Place.
Rivian will hold a free grand opening event on Saturday. The Dedham opening marks Rivian's fourth location in Massachusetts.
The showroom is next to Barnes & Noble at 250 Legacy Place. The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
During the grand opening, visitors will be able to explore the new space and Rivian's lineup of all-electric vehicles. The event will also feature complimentary coffee from Cloudae Coffee, refreshments and children's activities.
Registration is encouraged through the Legacy Place event page, but walk-ins are welcome.
The family- and dog-friendly showroom is designed to allow visitors to learn about Rivian vehicles independently or with help from company employees. The location is also expected to host live music and community programs throughout the year.
"Rivian is a unique addition to Legacy Place, bringing an entirely different type of retail experience to the property," Legacy Place General Manager Naomi Ehrens said. "Its innovative showroom concept and focus on community make it a natural fit for Legacy Place, while adding a new category to our thoughtfully curated mix of retail, dining, entertainment and wellness offerings."
Legacy Place plans to make electric vehicle charging stations available to the public in 2027, according to the shopping center.
Regular showroom hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
The opening comes days after ALO announced it would debut at Legacy Place in late 2026. The company is best known for its high-performance clothing for movement and recovery, according to ALO.
