• Paver pleads guilty to new set of larceny charges, sentenced to more prison time (nbcboston.com) — A Dedham paving contractor has been sentenced to five to six years in prison after pleading guilty to scamming homeowners in Dedham and nearby towns by taking deposits for work he never finished. Norfolk County prosecutors say he targeted several residents, including seniors and people with disabilities, and still owes restitution from earlier cases. He'll face additional probation and repayment requirements after release.
   

• Auto insurer sending refunds to thousands of Mass. customers. Check how much you may get (boston25news.com) — From Dedham drivers are learning that State Farm is sending a one-time $5 billion dividend refund to eligible auto insurance customers, including about 22,000 in the state. If you had a qualifying policy in 2025, you could receive roughly 8% of your premium back. Residents are urged to watch for legitimate emails or mailed checks and avoid scam lookalikes.
