Announced at SMC's Devens facility, the program supports companies expanding research and manufacturing statewide, with strict three‑year job‑maintenance requirements and a higher funding cap under the Mass Leads Act.
   

• CFS Orders Over 10,000 Kilometers of Superconducting Tape From Fujikura (securities.io) — Commonwealth Fusion Systems, headquartered in Devens, has ordered over 10,000 kilometers of high‑temperature superconducting tape from Fujikura to support its ARC fusion power plants, a major step toward commercial fusion energy. The company continues developing its SPARC demonstration machine in Devens, aiming for first plasma in 2026 and eventual grid power in the early 2030s, potentially solidifying Devens as a key fusion technology hub.
