• East Bridgewater Planning Board Sets Aside Its Own Data Center Ban, Asks Select Board for 12-Month Moratorium (southshore.news subscription) — East Bridgewater's Planning Board has shelved its own proposed town-wide data center ban and instead is asking the Select Board to enact a 12‑month moratorium on new data centers. After residents argued the original bylaw was too weak to withstand state review, members backed a pause to address concerns over water supply, pollution, and local control before revisiting permanent rules.
   

• Nor'easter Winds Down After Battering South Shore (959watd.com) — East Bridgewater was among several South Shore communities that lost power as a slow-moving nor'easter brought heavy rain, strong winds, and scattered damage over the weekend. While outages peaked at about 70,000 customers statewide, most service was restored by Sunday night, and the storm caused only minor flooding but did down trees, damage a seawall, and batter some coastal homes.
