• At long last, construction of Easthampton's new skate park to begin (gazettenet.com) — Easthampton residents will soon see construction begin on a new skate and all-wheels park at Millside Park, with half the parking lot closing during the build. Fully funded through grants and community donations, the park is designed for all ages and skill levels, and is expected to be completed before next June's state grant deadline.
   

• Restoration of Easthampton's historic Civil War plaque underway (thereminder.com) — Easthampton's historic Civil War Memorial Plaque at Old Town Hall is being carefully restored this month to preserve its marble, lettering, and structure. Community member support and CitySpace's stewardship are driving the project, which is expected to culminate in a Veterans Day rededication ceremony that will invite families of those named on the memorial.
