$160K+ in Annual Savings for Easton in Streetlight LED Switch
Easton will save over $160,000 annually after switched streetlight bulbs to LEDs.

EASTON, MA — Easton will save over $160,000 in energy costs every year after LED bulbs were installed in the town's 1,442 streetlights, according to Town Administrator David Colton.
The process started in 2013, when the town purchased 98 percent of all streetlights in town from National Grid. That along with the LED bulbs are expected to save over $160,000 annually, Colton said.
“Projects like this save money in two ways ... you are simultaneously eliminating an annual lease payment and reducing the ongoing operations costs of our streetlights," Colton said in a statement.
