EASTON, MA — Easton teens are getting a chance to unleash their creativity and bring a unique, nature-inspired creation to life.
The Ames Free Library is hosting a teen-only pop-up art school Thursday, Oct. 29, inviting young artists to put their skills to the test by creating their own felt carnivorous plants.
The program is open to teens ages 13 to 18 and will run from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Using wool and a special barbed needle, participants will sculpt a green carnivorous plant complete with fangs and a bright red tongue.
Each creation will be displayed in a real terra-cotta pot, giving young artists a one-of-a-kind piece to take home.
All materials will be provided by the library.
The hands-on workshop offers teens an opportunity to explore their artistic side, learn a new crafting technique and let their imaginations run wild.
Registration is required, and interested participants can sign up online to secure their spot.
