EASTON, MA —Easton residents may want to double-check their water bills before mailing in a payment.
The town of Easton is alerting residents to a printing error affecting some recently mailed water bills.
According to the town, a mistake by its printing vendor resulted in some bills being sent with courtesy return envelopes displaying the wrong payment address.
Instead of directing payments to Easton's payment lockbox, the envelopes were mistakenly addressed to the town of Bridgewater's lockbox.
Residents who received an incorrect return envelope are being urged not to use it when mailing their payments.
Instead, payments can be mailed directly to the Tax Collector's Office at 136 Elm St.
Residents can also pay their bills online or visit the Tax Collector's Office in person to make a payment.
