Attempted Robbery At Dunkin' Donuts Saturday

There was an attempted robbery at the on the corner of Plymouth Drive and Washington Street Saturday evening, said.

At approximately 8 p.m. Saturday night, police received a call describing a 6 foot 2 male with a hood covering much of his face and a large nose who walked into Dunkin' Donuts with a knife. The party was described as having "very bright blue eyes."

When the suspect was told he would not receive money and there were security cameras, he fled on foot on route 138 northbound.

Police Chief said the matter is still under investigation. Items were brought to the police station from the store for a possible finger print check, but nothing has been determined yet.

Shoplifting at 7-Eleven Sunday Evening

Police received a call at 6:20 p.m. Sunday night reporting a shoplifting incident at on the corner of Turnpike and Foundry Streets.

The caller said two youths ran into the store, stole two cartons of cigarettes and left in a small, green motor vehicle. Officer Keith Boone responded to take the report.

Fighting Cooks at The 99

Police received a call at approximately 6 p.m. regarding two line cooks at The on Belmont Street fighting. No injuries were reporter and the manager sent the aggressor home. Police advised the other cook on how to handle if he wants to press charges.

Breaking and Entering on Wenlock Circle

Police received a call shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday reporting a breaking and entering on Wenlock Circle the week before. The caller said she was returning from a week away from vacation and jewelry and a bose stereo was missing.

The officer reported no forced entry but some items were taken.
