Brockton Man Arrested For Attempting to Steal Van at Easton Church

A Brockton man was arrested Thursday morning after he was caught allegedly trying to steal a van in a church parking lot.
Aaron Bugbee, 21, was charged with breaking and entering to a vehicle in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, attempted larceny of a motor vehicle, malicious damage to property (vehicle), possession of burglarious tools (screw driver) and resisting arrest.
While on patrol at 3:30 a.m., Easton Police Sergeant Keith Boone observed an open door on a van on that was parked in a church parking lot on Washington Street. Boone also saw a black male inside the vehicle and saw several wires hanging from the dashboard.

The subject stated he was the owner of the van and was trying to get it started before running across the highway. After a pursue, the subject was arrested near the end of Dongary Road with assistance from Officer Matthew Solov.
He was transported to Taunton District Court this morning for arraignment.
