Brockton Man Arrested For OUI Saturday Morning

A drunk driving arrest highlights today's Police and Fire log.

arrested a Brockton man early Saturday morning for drunk driving after being tipped off by the Mansfield Police Department.

Raimund Moreira, 52, of 106 Laureston St., Brockton was arrested for operating under the influence at approximately 4 a.m. Saturday morning after he was pulled over on the corner of Depot Street and Washington Street.

Easton police received a call from Mansfield Police regarding an erratic driver heading eastbound on route 106. The driver turned onto route 123 before being pulled over at the corner of route 123 and 138 by Easton police. One passenger was transported to the Cumberland Farms in Brockton.

Pellet Gun and Knife Found in 7-Eleven Dumpster

A resident of Easton Trailer Home called Easton Police Thursday night at approximately 8 p.m. regarding a knife and a gun found in the dumpster of the on the corner of Foundry Street and Turnpike Streets. The caller said a friend found the items.

Police retrieved the items and brought them to Easton Police Station as evidence.

Motorcycle Accident Wednesday Afternoon

Emergency officials responded to a call Wednesday at approximately 3:45 regarding an accident involving a motorcycle on Lincol and Barrows Street. One person was injured, but remained conscious and breathing. The party was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center by Easton EMTs.

The officer stated the injury was not life-threatening.

Shoplifting at Independent Liquors Tuesday

Easton Police received notification from a panic/hold up alarm at at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon calling, the clerk told officers that the store had just been robbed.

A male and a female headed down route 106 towards West Bridgewater in a red Toyota. Officers returned with evidence for detectives, including a DVD to be burned. The incident was deemed shoplifting.
