Brockton Says Yes to Casino
Negotiations with Developer Mass Gaming & Entertainment over a surrounding community agreement is now next.

Brockton voters have said yes to a casino in their town.
The unofficial result has the referendum passing with 7,163 residents voting yes and 7,020 voting against the casino.
The proposed casino from developer Mass Gaming & Entertainment would be located at the Brockton Fairgrounds.

If a casino does end up in Brockton, the developer will have to negotiate agreements will all the neighboring towns that share borders with the city, including Easton.
The vote was only another step in the process, the plan will now compete with proposals in New Bedford and Somerset for the third and final casino license from the state.
