Charges Against Easton Teen Upgraded to Murder
The Easton teen who was arrested for allegedly killing his mother had his charges upgraded to murder.

17-year-old Easton resident and former student Matthew Worster is awaiting a new arraignment date after his charges were upgraded last week from "armed assault with intent to murder" to "murder."
Worster , Beth Spartichino, in the back earlier this month before burying her in a 4-foot grave in the back yard of her Union Street home. The body was brought to a lab in Boston where an autopsy was conducted.
In Worster's original arraignment on May 5, Bristol County Prosecutor Bill McCauley said a foot print was found near Spartichino's grave that matched Worster's shoe. The 17-year old also allegedly told his younger brother on May 4 "I shot her" and "It's over."

Prosecutors and said Worster had become "increasingly bitter" towards Spartichino after she separated from his father, Michael Worster approximately a year ago.
Spartichino filed for a restraining order against Michael Worster, stating that that father said he would kill her and bury her in the yard "where no one would find her." She also said that Michael was "coaching the three children to treat her with contempt."

A date has yet to be set for her son's arraignment. He is currently being held on $500,000 cash bail and is due back in court for a pre-trial on June 10.
