Child of Easton Woman Found Dead, Father Commits Suicide Afterwards

A Boston man killed himself on Saturday after police wished to question him about the death of his six-year-old child.

According to FOX 25, the boy, Destin Williams-Marcelin, was found dead in the Dorchester apartment of his father’s girlfriend on Thursday.

WCVB reports that Williams-Marcelin’s mother, an Easton resident named Nancy Williams, went to pick her son up for his first day of school on Thursday from Williams-Marcelin father’s girlfriend’s apartment. When the mother arrived, she was told by police her son had died.

Police found Williams-Marcelin’s father, Patrick Marcelin, on Saturday in a Mattapan apartment. According to police, he answered the door with a knife in his hand and began to stab himself.

Police were able to take the knife away and transported Marcelin to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Both deaths remain under investigation but police say charges are unlikely.
