Do you ever Wonder What's at the Back of Beyond?

Do you ever wonder what’s at The Back of Beyond?

Well, I can tell you. There’s bombs and shootings, Indian burial grounds, motorcycle gangs and an insurrection. And that’s just at the Back of Beyond right here on earth in Hog Jaw, Tennessee. Serial mystery writer, P.K. Norton now adds The Back of Beyond to her six other Amy Lynch Investigations mysteries: Sweet Dreams, Sweet Death; Dead Drop: Deep Secrets; Direct Elimination, Deadly Diamonds and Avenging Madonna.

Protagonist Amy Lynch is modeled after P.K. Norton who spent thirty years as a life insurance claims investigator. Kirkus Reviews comments that “Norton accomplishes the unlikely feat of making an insurance investigator enthralling.”

Amy is sent to Hog Jaw (yes, it exists) to investigate a single death claim. Her mission explodes into a collision of history and mystery including more dead bodies and shootings, a bomb factory, drugs, time-honored Native American rituals, and some dubious long-haul truckers. The Back of Beyond is exhilarating and dangerous and a trip worth taking.
