Easton Business Co-Sponsors Hole-In-One at Golf Tournament to Benefits Military Members

Smiles & Miles Travel based in Easton, teamed up with Sandals / Beaches Resorts to sponsor a Hole in One contest during a recent golf tournament at Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk.. Proceeds were earmarked for Wish for Our Heroes (www.wishforourheroes.org), a national non-profit whose mission is to provide one wish for every deserving military member.
The event hosted both active and retired military members for a day of golf, dinner and entertainment. Keynote speaker was U.S. Navy SEAL and Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, Michael E. Thornton.For every tournament participant who makes travel reservations for seven-plus nights by Dec. 31, 2013 through Smiles and Miles and mentions Wish for Our Heroes, Smiles & Miles is donating  $100 and Sandals is donating an additional $100 to the organization.Kim Paderson, Smiles & Miles’ sales and marketing associate, helped to coordinate the sponsorship with Kirk Olsen, regional business development manager for Sandals / Beaches Resorts. Founded by Ellen Paderson, Smiles and Miles has been arranging vacations, destination and cruise honeymoons, weddings and bar/bat mitzvahs for more than 20 years.
