Easton Fire Assists in Fire at Miller Recycling in Mansfield [Video]
The Easton Fire Department gave an assist to the Mansfield Department in fighting a fire at Miller Recycling in Mansfield.

The Easton Fire Department assisted the Mansfield Fire Department as they battled a four alarm fire broke out at the paper recycling plant on 73 Plymouth St. in Mansfield Tuesday night.
Fire Chief Neal Boldrighini said that the fire drew so much manpower from the surrounding areas because the size of the building, and the hazards a paper recycling plant presents.
"It's like a horizontal high rise," he said.

One Mansfield firefighter was treated on scene for minor smoke inhalation.
Boldrighini said the fire started sometime around 7:30 p.m. As of 10 p.m., he said that the fire itself was mostly out, but the bigger problem is that the paper storage is extremely dense, which requires more checks and manpower to make sure the fire is no longer a danger.

"We're going to be in holding companies for a very long time digging this out," he said Tuesday night.
Boldrighini added that while the investigation into the cause of the fire is currently under way no apparent cause has been determined. According to the fire chief, firefighters and other emergency personnel are expected to be on scene for most of the night to help clear out the immense amount of smoke and start a more detailed investigation into the cause of the fire.
Other Fire and EMS companies from the surrounding area assisted with fightning the fire, including Easton, Norton, Sharon, Foxborough, Canton, Taunton, Norfolk, Walpole and Wrentham. Boldrighini said there was no one in the building at the time of the fire.
Many of the firefighters on scene also aided in a during last winter.
