Easton Fire Department to Host Annual Open House on Oct. 4
The open house will take place from noon to 3:00 p.m.

The Easton Fire & Rescue Department is pleased to announce its annual Open House to be held on October 4, 2014. Residents of the Community are invited to join the members of the Easton Fire Department at the Open House from noon to 3 p.m. at Fire Station #1, 48 Lothrop Street.
Last year’s Open House was a big success with over 500 people attending. This year’s event will again have fire equipment on display, demonstrations of the “Jaws of Life” equipment, Sparkey the Fire Dog, and Smokey Bear, Massachusetts State Police Bomb Dog and Robot, and fire hose for young kids to squirt. Pizza donated from Papa Gino’s an Open House Sponsor and other refreshments Hannaford’s, Shaw’s and Roche Supermarkets.
The Department will have its new Fire Engine, a 2014 Emergency One Class A Pumper on display during the Open house.

The day’s activities give the public the opportunity to meet Firefighters, see the fire department equipment, and ask questions about the department. We also want to share our message of fire safety and how to keep Easton residents safe from fires.
This year’s Fire Prevention Week is October 5 through 11 and the theme is “Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives: Test Yours Every Month.
