Easton Hannaford to Be Sold

Easton, MA — An agreement has been reached to sell the Easton Hannaford to Big Y, a western Massachusetts grocery chain.

The deal was announced Thursday as part of the conditions of a merger between Hannaford's parent company and Stop & Shop's parent company.

Big Y will purchase eight Hannaford stores in eastern Massachusetts, including:

• Easton, 25 Robert Dr.
• Saugus, 357 Broadway
• Peabody, 637 Lowell St.
• Norwood, 434 Walpole St.
• Milford, 7 Medway Rd.
• Norwood, 434 Walpole St.
• Norwell, 10 Washington St.
• North Quincy, 475 Hancock St.
