Easton Man Charged At Officer, So She Tased Him: Police
The 24-year-old man allegedly fled from a traffic stop before charging at an officer.

EASTON — An Easton man who charged at an officer following a traffic stop was tased and arrested, police said. Chief Gary Sullivan sad Nicholaus Monteiro, 24, faces numerous charges after Sunday morning's incident.
Monteiro allegedly had illegally attached license plates on her Mercury Sable sedan when police pulled him over at about 11 a.m. While he was speaking with officers, Monteiro allegedly attempted to flee on foot.
Monteiro disregarded the officers' commands and started to charge at one of the officers, police said. The officer used her Taser to incapacitate Monteiro. He was then arrested.

Monteiro was found to have large amount of cash, oxycodone pills, and marijuana, police said.

Monteiro was released on $500 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Taunton District Court.
