Easton Man Sentenced To 2 To 5 Years For Heroin Trafficking
The Bristol County District Attorney's Office said James Kim, 35, pleaded guilty to selling heroin and possessing Suboxone.
EASTON, MA — As Easton man has been sentenced to between two and five years in state prison after pleading guilty to heroin trafficking charges in Fall River Superior Court. The Bristol County District Attorney's Office said James Kim, 35, pleaded guilty on Jan. 6 to trafficking more than 18 grams of heroin and possession of Suboxone.
"I want to thank Easton police for their thorough investigation that led to the arrest of the defendant for trafficking heroin," Bristol County DA Thomas Quinn said. "Selling heroin, which is usually mixed with fentanyl, is directly related to the increase in fatal overdoses in our communities."
Easton police investigated heroin trafficking in the town in the spring and summer of 2018 and observed Kim traveling with known drug houses for what they determined was the selling of heroin. Easton police said they also conducted three controlled buys from Kim through a confidential informant.
