Easton Named Among Best Suburbs in Mass. to Buy a House

When it comes to buying a house, Easton is one of the best places in the Bay State to do so, according to a new survey.

Recently, Niche released their list of the top 100 suburbs in Massachusetts to buy a house. Easton came in at 25.

Part of a release of multiple surveys, the rankings were based on age demographics, school ratings, crime rates, home values, and rent-to-income ratio, among other factors.

• Monthly Housing Cost: $1,836
• Monthly Housing Cost to Income Ratio: 0.2 : 1
• Residents Age 25–44: 23.8 percent
• Education Grade: A
• Crime & Safety Grade: B-
• Percent Own: 83.9 percent
• Home Buying Age Newcomers: 2.7 percent
• Median Effective Property Tax: 1.32 percent
