Danroy Henry was shot early Sunday morning, near Mount Pleasant, NY

Danroy Henry, 20, of North Easton, was shot and killed by police early Sunday morning outside of a bar in Thornwood, NY near Mount Pleasant, Pace public information officer Christopher Corey said.

Henry, a former Oliver Ames student from the class of 2007 and football player at Pace University, struck two Mount Pleasant police officers with a motor vehicle before being shot down by a third officer, police said.

Police responded to a disturbance call at 1:19 a.m. outside of Finnegan's Grille in Thornwood. Police said one officer approached a motor vehicle and tapped on the window. The vehicle quickly sped away, striking the officer and leaving the officer on the hood.
