Easton Police Arrest Sex Offender Wednesday
Robert Earl Williams of Church Street was arrested Wednesday morning for failing to register as a sex offender.

Robert Earl Williams, 55, of 21 Church Street was arrested by Wednesday morning for failing to register as a sex offender, police said.
Williams is a former citizen of Brockon, who, upon moving to Easton did not register with the Sex Offender Registry Board. Williams is a "Level 2" sex offender. According to the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety and Security, a Level Two offender poses a "moderate" risk of re-offense, and must register with both the local police department and the registry board.
Easton police said they were given information from the Brockton Police Department. Arresting officer Mark Ferretti took Williams into custody at approximately 7:05 a.m. Wednesday.

Williams was transported to Taunton District Court for his arraignment, police said
