Easton Police Arrest Woman for OUI, Assaulting Police Officer

A Foxborough woman was arrested while attempting to leave LOCO Tapas and Wine Bar Saturday night.

A Foxborough woman is being arraigned today in Taunton District Court after being arrested by Easton Police Saturday night while leaving on Foundry Street.

Laura D. McLaughlin, 55, of 3 Granite Terrace, Foxborough is being charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, operating to endanger, and two counts of assault and battery on police officers, Easton Police Chief said.

Police received a call Saturday night that an intoxicated woman was attempting to leave the restaurant despite attempts of bystanders to stop her. According to police, she was ramming into other vehicles in the parking lot.

Officers Brandon Walkus, Keith Boone, and Andrew Salisbury responded and subsequently arrested McLaughlin, police said. While being booked in the station, she began to kick and bite officers, the chief said in a statement. The officers did not have to be treated for injuries.
