Easton Police Assist in Finding Missing 54-year-old Stoughton Man
Stoughton Police found Leonid Furman at 12:35 p.m. on Wednesday. He was transported to a Boston hospital, however, due to injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

Leonid Furman, a 54-year-old Stoughton man who police say was missing earlier on Wednesday, has been found alive.
At 12:35 p.m., officers of the located Leonid Furman while he was attempting to make his way back out of the wooded/swamp area of Bay Rd, according to police.
Furman suffered injuries from a motor vehicle crash on Bay Rd. at 9 a.m., police said. The injuries made it necessary to transport Furman to a Boston area hospital via Medical Flight.

“The Stoughton Police Department wishes to thank the officers of the Sharon and as well as the Troopers from the Massachusetts State police K-9 unit for their assistance in brining this search to a relatively happy conclusion,” the Stoughton Police Department said in a release.
“We also wish to thank the local news media who stood ready to assist us in this search.”

Stoughton Police originally sent out a notification that Furman was missing shortly before noon on Wednesday.
According to police, Furman crashed his car on Bay Rd. by Turnstone Terr. Wednesday morning and went missing, until police located him Wednesday afternoon.
Furman, a Stoughton resident, is formerly of Sharon.
