Easton Police Assist in Finding Trespassing Suspect
A Brockton man was arrested for trespassing Sunday afternoon.

Easton Police assisted State Police Sunday afternoon to find a Brockton man who allegedly trespassed in the woods on Foundry Street.
Shawn W. Cox, 34 of Brockton was arrested for trespassing after a search led State Police to the woods near Foundry Street at approximately 1 p.m. State Police said they received a 911 call with a baby crying in the background. The victim said a domestic assault took place, but later said there was no assault.

Cox was transported to the New Bedford House of Correction Sunday night.

Two minutes after midnight on the morning of Saturday, Attleboro Police put out a BOLO (Be On the LookOut) alert for a red 2012 Hyundai wanted in connection with a breaking and entering and pellet gun shooting, according to State Police.
Police said Massachusetts State Trooper Jason Morse from the Foxboro Barracks located the suspect vehicle on Route 123 eastbound in Easton. The troopers stopped the vehicle there without incident and placed five occupants of the vehicle under arrest, according to State Police.
Attleboro Police responded to the location and took custody of the defendants. State Police are not releasing the defendant’s names at this time.
Hit and Run Reported Saturday Night
Police are investigating an alleged hit and run Saturday night at the corner of Lincoln Street and Mahoney Street.
At approximately 9:36 police were called about the accident. Upon arrival, they were told that the car is light in color and will have left front-end damage. The accident actually occurred on Jonathan Drive.
Car Break-in Reported at IRA Smith Truck Rental
A caller reported Wednesday that a truck was allegedly broken into at approximately 6:30 in the morning. The caller said a person was seen rummaging through one of the trucks. He requested extra patrols at the business.
Car Break-in Reported at Meadowbrook Lane
Several tools were allegedly taken from a vehicle parked at Meadowbrook Lane Monday morning at approximately 8 a.m. The matter is under investigation.
