Easton Police Chief to Retire in July
Chief Allen Krajcik says the Easton Police Department will be left in good hands.

Easton Police Chief Allen Krajcik says he will retire in July after serving four decades in law enforcement.
Krajcik served as Easton’s police chief for six years and has been with the Easton Police Department since 1982.

Krajcik made the decision to retire “relatively young,” at age 58, during the winter season.
“I’m going to miss the officers,” he said to Patch. “I’m very thankful for my career.”

Krajik has been involved in law enforcement since he first joined the U.S. Army Military Police in 1975.
Before serving for Easton Police, Krajcik was an officer for Raynham Police Department from 1980 to 1982.
Krajcik says the Town will be in good hands with Lt. Gary Sullivan, who will be appointed to police chief once Krajcik leaves the department on July 9.
“I have a great deal of confidence in him,” Krajcik said. “If i didn’t have someone who couldn’t take over and do a great job, I wouldn’t leave.”
Sullivan has served as executive officer lieutenant for 6 years and has been with the Easton Police Department for 20 years.
“He’s a great leader,” Krajcik said. “He’s very intelligent and he’s going to do a wonderful job.”

Krajcik looks to pursue other interests and plans to keep himself busy in his retirement. He has his pilot’s license, likes to go mountain climbing and is eager to travel with his wife Allison.
They want to visit their daughter Chelsea, 24, who is working on her doctorate in linguistics from the University of London.
The Krajcik’s also have a 26-year-old son Colin who owns Evergreen Landscaping, a local business in Eason.
Krajcik is interested in volunteering for organizations like My Brother’s Keeper and local food pantries.
“I love my job and I love the community,” he said. “The citizens, selectmen and Town administrator are wonderful and supportive.”
