Easton Police Receive Re-Accreditation Certification
The Easton Police Department received an award for their re-accreditation on Tuesday.
EASTON, MA — The Easton Police Department received its award for maintaining accredited status from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission Tuesday during a ceremony in Dover.
"The accreditation process is long and vigorous, involving both an internal self-review and an external assessment by the commission's panel of experts," Easton police posted on their Facebook page. "It is considered the best measure for a police department to compare itself against the established best practices around the country and region. We are extremely proud to once again achieve re-accreditation and continue to maintain the highest standards of policing."
Sergeants Leonard Coe and Philip Adams were the accreditation managers during the process in helping make sure Easton police adhere to best practices.
