Easton Resident Arrested on Assault and Battery Charge Monday
Joseph R. Sullivan was arrested after police responded to a domestic disturbance call Monday evening.

Joseph R. Sullivan was arrested Monday evening on charges of assault and battery after police responded to a domestic disturbance call on Rockland Street, police said.
Police received a call at approximately 6:25 p.m. from a resident who said that the suspect was intoxicated and threatening to jump out of a second story window, police said. Upon hearing reports that the suspect was possibly armed with a knife, Easton officers Andrew Salisbury, Brandon Walkus, Patrick Taylor and Keith Boone all responded to the scene.
Sullivan was arrested and held overnight at the New Bedford House of Correction, police said. The victim, who sustained minor injuries, refused medical treatment.
