Easton Resident Sentenced to Five Years in Prison

Matthew Sarnowitz, who committed two armed robberies last fall, was sentenced to to five years in prison.

An Easton man who was behind two armed robberies and larceny in the fall of 2010 at two local businesses was sentenced to five years in prison this week.

Matthew Sarnowitz, 29, of 9 Dogwood Lane, Easton pled guilty to two counts of armed robbery and one count of larceny, Police Chief Allen Krajcik said Friday. The crimes occurred 0. One robbery occurred at on Eastman Street and one at on Turnpike Street. Sarnowitz was also charged for larceny at Golf Country.

Sarnowitz was involved in the robbery of Sharon Credit Union in Sharon last fall as well.
